How to buy a firearm at Southwest Custom Firearms

To order by phone:
please call us at 602-955-1531.

To order online:
Choose your firearm and add to cart. When you are finished shopping click “Checkout”.

If you do not have a user account, do not worry, it’s easy to create one. If you do have a user account, log in. For the shipping address, please enter your FFL’s address, or if you do not know your FFL's address your own address will be fine for the time being.

Choose your shipping method, (All handguns must go Next Day Air. Rifles and Shotguns may go Ground). Once you have chosen your shipping method, click “Continue Checkout”.

Enter your credit card information and click “Continue”.

Review your order’s details and click “Confirm Order.”

Contact your local dealer to set up the transfer. Different dealers use a different pricing structure for a transfer, so please check with the local dealer of your choice to ensure that you are satisfied with their transfer cost. At the same time, please give them our fax number (602-956-1768) and have them send over a copy of their FFL addressed to “Southwest Custom Firearms, ATT: Ray Vaught”. Or, if it is more convenient, they may email the FFL to ray@southwestcustomfirearms.com. Lastly, please have them reference your name and/or order number on the fax so we can process your order right away, if there is no notation linking that FFL to your order it results in a shipping delay.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE READ
Federal firearms laws prevent the shipment of a firearm from Southwest Custom Firearms directly to an individual. ALL firearms must be shipped to an FFL dealer near you. If you are unable to locate an FFL dealer, we will assist you in locating one and contact you with the information. Firearms must be purchased as a separate transaction from all other items on the website. Handguns must ship overnight. Rifles and shotguns can be shipped ground if desired. All firearms include FREE shipping insurance for your protection. If you do not know the dealer you are going to use, you will need to find one that will accept the transfer of your firearm BEFORE you make your purchase on our website. Most sporting goods stores will provide this service for a small fee. Also, gun clubs, shooting ranges, gun stores, etc. may provide this service to you. Most dealers charge around $25-$45 for a transfer. If you are having a firearm transferred to you through the Southwest Custom Firearms, the fee is $25 per firearm.  It is the customer's responsibility to confirm the transfer with his or her local dealer in advance. The steps to follow are: Order your firearm online using our secure shopping cart. Enter all FFL dealer info into the "Shipping Address" fields during the checkout process. (Should you have any questions please call us during normal business hours.)

Next, instruct the dealer to provide us with a signed copy of his FFL license if we don't already have it on file. Please note: It is now legal for us to accept a faxed copy of your FFL dealer's license!  Please notify your receiving FFL dealer of the incoming firearm so he can keep a watch for it.  Upon shipment of your firearm(s), we will email you a tracking number that you can use to estimate the arrival of your firearm at your receiving FFL dealer.

Class 3 Devices

To own Class 3 devices (Fully automatic, or machine guns, short barreled rifles and shotguns, suppressors or silencers, etc.) you must live in a state that does not prohibit Class 3 ownership by an individual. We have a comprehensive list of these on file at our retail location.  Please contact us or your local dealer for verification prior to any ordering if you are unsure of the legality of the firearm or accessory.

If you’d like to purchase one of our Class 3 devices, here are the steps to follow.
1.  Each Class 3 device requires its own Form 4, along with a $200 Tax Stamp from the BATFE. The approval process for Class 3 devices takes approximately 3 months.

Choose the item on southwestcustomfirearms.com, add to cart and check out.

Our staff will contact you on what Class 3 dealer you would like to have your device sent to.

Once a destination has been determined, it takes about 6 weeks for BATFE approval to transfer from Southwest Custom Firearms to your local Class 3 dealer.

Please contact your local Class 3 dealer if you have any questions regarding their policies and procedures relating to Class 3 transfers.

Questions or concerns? Please contact us through email at
